Roger Rodés of MEDUSOS Nominated for a Latin Grammy
Roger Rodés of MEDUSOS has been included in the list of nominees for the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. He received the nomination as Recording Engineer on Shakira’s album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which is up for Album of the Year. This recognition highlights his pivotal role in the technical production of one of the most celebrated releases of the year.
Rodés’ contribution stands out on an album that has achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran not only reached number one in Spain but also topped Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and earned multiple platinum certifications in Spain (1), Mexico (2), Colombia (3), and the United States (7). The nomination acknowledges the quality of the sound and the technical precision that Rodés brings as a leading figure in recording engineering. The Album of the Year category also honors key technical collaborators, including engineers, mixers, and mastering professionals.
The Latin Recording Academy will celebrate the 25th edition of the awards on 19 November 2024 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, promising a very special event.
Another Milestone for a Latin Grammy Talent
This nomination adds to Roger Rodés’ impressive track record, marking his fourth Latin Grammy nomination. Previously, he was nominated in 2023 in the Record of the Year category as recording engineer for Bizarrap and Shakira’s Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 and Rosalía’s DESPECHÁ. He also won a Latin Grammy for his work on Nathy Peluso’s album Calambre, which took home Best Alternative Music Album in 2021.
Every project Rodés works on reflects his meticulous approach to sonic excellence, building a lasting reputation in one of the most demanding areas of music production. In addition to his work as a recording engineer, Roger Rodés is also a producer in the MEDUSOS project alongside Manu Guix.
