Five Nominations for BASE85 at LOS40 Music Awards

The nominations for the LOS40 Music Awards Santander 2024 have officially been announced, with BASE85 earning five nominations. This recognition highlights the strategic and creative work behind our artists and their teams. The awards ceremony will take place on 9 November in Barcelona.

Two of the nominations are for Best Album, awarded to Lugar Paraíso by Nil Moliner and Noctalgia by Vicco. Two more come in the Best Music Video category, for Vicco’s Engatusao and Pol Granch’s Titiritar. The fifth nomination is for Best Live Artist or Group (Spain category), awarded to Nil Moliner. A strong showing that reflects the consistency of our releases and their genuine connection with audiences.

The Best Album nominations for Lugar Paraíso and Noctalgia highlight two distinct yet complementary projects. Nil Moliner has crafted an optimistic and emotional narrative that has grown both on stage and across platforms, while Vicco has transformed her nocturnal aesthetic into a recognizable pop language, with a strong visual identity and an evolving storytelling approach with each release.

In the Best Music Video category, Vicco’s Engatusao stands out for its innovative vertical format, catchy choreography, and creative direction that amplifies the project’s identity. Meanwhile, Pol Granch’s Titiritar offers a more cinematic and visceral approach, where the visual atmosphere blends seamlessly with an intense performance to create a memorable piece. Both works reflect a commitment to audiovisual projects that go beyond simply accompanying the music—they elevate it.

Nil Moliner’s nomination for Best Live Artist or Group confirms a moment of full artistic maturity on stage, with emotionally powerful performances, carefully crafted arrangements, and a strong connection with the audience that turns each concert into a shared experience.

MEDUSOS Also Represented at the LOS40 Music Awards

MEDUSOS members Roger Rodés and Manu Guix are also present at the awards through their contributions to three of the albums nominated for Best Album. With production credits on Lugar Paraíso (Nil Moliner) and Noctalgia (Vicco), and Roger Rodés as recording engineer on Estopía by Estopa, their work at Medusa Estudio has been key in shaping the sound of these projects.

UPDATE – 8 November: At tonight’s LOS40 Music Awards ceremony, Vicco took home the award for Best Music Video for Engatusao. This marks her second LOS40 Music Award, following her win for Best New Artist in 2023.
