Vicco wins Best New Artist at the LOS40 Music Awards

Last night Vicco won his first award at the LOS40 Music Awards for Best New Artist. The awards ceremony is one of the most important events of the year for music in our country.

BASE85 had three nominations: two for Vicco for “Best New Artist” and “Best Song” with “Nochentera,” and one for Nil Moliner for “Best Music Video” with “Vuela alto.”

During the evening, we enjoyed performances by both artists. They played the hits “Nochentera,” which couldn’t be left out of this gala, and “Vuela Alto,” Nil Moliner’s latest single, which preceded an excerpt from his epic song “Libertad.”

A reward for hard work and dedication

After more than four hours of the gala and more than 20 categories, it was time to find out who would win the award for “Best New Artist”, presented by the winner of “Best Artist” in the 2022 edition, Dani Fernández, alongside Lara Álvarez. That envelope contained the name we had been waiting for at BASE85 after more than a year of intense work: Vicco. And it was no surprise, as “Nochentera” is one of the songs we have listened to most in 2023.

“Wow, I’m so nervous. Oh my goodness, I think this is the first award I’ve ever won.” Vicco took to the stage at the LOS40 Music Awards to collect her award for Best New Artist. She was visibly moved by everything that has happened this year and grateful to the whole team that has supported her. She didn’t hesitate to mention Carles Martínez and Ángel Navas, managers and founders of our company, for their trust over all these years. The artist has been part of our roster since 2020. Without a doubt, it’s the perfect ending to a year that has brought us so much joy with Vicco’s project, and we’re already working tirelessly to ensure that this is only the first award of her career.
